Beer God’s Notes

Original Tasting Notes: “Funky Flow IPA by @thinmanbrewery – the haze is strong with this one. But the flavor is really tasty too.”

This was one of those difficult beers to pin down.  Now that I read it was basically the Filthy Flow… funked up on purpose – the flavors that I’m getting make more sense.  It had some Belgian flavors but a lot of that “sourness” you get from Brett-added beers.  It was tasty as hell though and enjoyable – even with a little funk.

Description

Funky flow takes our previous collab, Filthy flow over to the wild side. 100% fermented with Brettanomyces, Funky Flow has a nose of tropical fruit, pine and earthy funk. The flavor opens with strawberries & tropical fruits before the brett makes it’s presence known with notes of citrus peel, pear and funk.
