It’s rare that I like a non-imperial version more, but Tangier is SO easy to drink on a hot day. The 2x isn’t giving me enough more to be incredible.
I don’t know if it’s because I had high hopes for this beer, if the one I had might have been a little old, or if I enjoy the non-imperial Tangier that much. It just fell a little flat for me.
That being said, it’s still really good and should still be tried!
Tangier has inspired thousands of legendary stories. It is a land that has fallen under Roman, Arab and Portuguese rule, and it’s home to legends tall and small. It is written that before his battle with the giant Antaeus, Hercules rested in a nearby cave. It is said that the city is a haven of spying and espionage. The city is an enigma with a history unlike any other and it’s a worthy namesake of our 2XTangier.
A Double India Pale Ale with spicy citrus aromas and stone fruit flavors. These flavors, with the addition of lightly roasted malts and brilliant hop bitterness, make 2XTangier a beverage as refreshing as it is exotic. 2XTangier is brewed as a stronger, bolder ale than its older brother, Tangier.
