Beer God’s Notes
Well, where do I begin? Damn! That’s where I begin. This beer is incredible. I’m pretty sure this is Unfiltered Resin, and now I wonder… why filter it at all? Resin is honestly one of my all time favorite Double/Imperial IPA’s and this just kicks it to the curb like no one’s watching.
Puff is truly one of those beers that has to be experienced to be understood. If you are a hop-head, get this. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
This beer took me by such surprise, I feel like this:
Description
Imagine puffing away on hops for days, then just chillin’ as the party starts winding down.
But wait, a final burst of energy; one last dose in a tank of dry hops. A special hop bouquet for the afterparty.
If you love Resin, try tasting it straight from the tanks. That’s PUFF – a hazy, unfiltered pour with an extra dose of dry hops… a new blend devised just for Puff.
We decided to capture our own puffy, cloudy brew in a limited release can. First puff says it all – this ish is Keller. Breathe deep and put your head in the clouds… it’s Mad Science.
This cloudy, unfiltered brew is meant to be drank super fresh. Don’t wait to Puff – this beer is code dated for consumption within 100 days. Puff, puff…
A Cloudy Story
The old head Sixpoint drinkers probably remember what a Bengali looked like in 2004. You could look down a bar with a dozen beers on it and pick the Sixpoint out on sight… it was just totally different. People were drowning in a sea of straw colored fizzy water back then. But this was hazed-up, cloudy, bitter, and aromatic. Just the gnarly, OG, hop sauce.
Times evolved and our beer changed. Though you could say the more it changed the more it stayed the same – it’s still aromatic and flavorful and pushing the boundaries… but the beers you see from us now are usually crystal-clear. No floaties, no yeasties, just beastly flavors. But hey, how about a throw back?? Enter Puff.
The Hazy History
Really we’re throwing it back further than that. Beer history repeats itself… in tiny Franconian breweries hundreds of years ago, you could travel to the local pub and drink the local specialty. Unfiltered, uncarbonated beer, only available on site, served from the casks it fermented in. This was seriously legit stuff, brewers reserve type liquid.
Puff follows suit. You’ve had Resin, now try the specialty. We saved you the trip to the clandestine pub in a Franconian forest… Puff is in 4-packs and available everywhere Sixpoint is in the States. But only for a limited time. Drink this hopped up throwback fresh af since unfiltered hop character doesn’t last.
