Beer God’s Notes

Original Tasting Notes:  A perfect beer and vinyl match made for the beer god himself. Sipping on Sherwood NE IPA by @ctvalleybrewing in #properglassware while listening to @sherwood on my @audiotechnicausa

When I saw they were canning this I had to get my hands on it.  I knew that it would look cool next to my Sherwood vinyl.

In all seriousness, this is a delicious beer. It’s a scary-easy-drinking Double NEIPA. The 8.2% went down with ease.  I’m writing this and I’m going to go have another one and play some Battlefield 5.

I love the play on the mosaic hop usage with the mosaic of the bird in the can art. Perfect.

Cheers!

Description

ABV: 8.2% | Hops: Mosaic

Tasting Notes:  If you’re going to do a series of Mosaic IPAs, you have to start with a single hop! As an introduction to our Mosaic Series, Sherwood, is an 8.2% New England Double IPA that showcases the amazing Mosaic hop. An abundance of Mosaic hops are added at different stages of the brew to impart a tropical fruit aroma with hints of fresh rose blossoms, before embracing your taste buds with notes of papaya and tangerine.

Did You Know:

Sherwood refers to Sherwood Island State Park located in Westport. Connecticut’s first state park offers all patrons a destination for a leisurely lunch in the shade of the picnic grove, swimming in the Long Island Sound or a chance to view marsh life from the observation platform on Sherwood Island.

The state bird of Connecticut (robin) is pictured on the front of the can.
