Beer God’s Notes

Original Tasting Notes: I’m not normally a fan of summer or “easy going” ales since they lack a lot of flavors, but this was actually an easy drinking summer beer. I could see myself having one of these after mowing the yard.

I can tell that my tastes are changing a bit because I bet a year ago I wouldn’t have liked this beer at all.  But this summer, especially being hot out I’ve been looking for more beers like this one and I think I found my new king of the summer beer.

Dayblazer was just a ridiculously easy drinking golden ale that had enough flavor to feel like I was still drinking a beer but wasn’t overly heavy. I will be picking this beer up for golfing and for after yard work.

Description

A deliciously refreshing golden ale, at 4.8% ABV, brewed with the finest malts and hops giving a sweet, crisp citrus finish with just a hint of honey. Available in 12-oz. and 24-oz. cans.

Tasting Notes:

Visual:  Blond color with uniform medium haze. White foam and light lacing.

Aroma:  Low overall aroma built on malt in the form of corn chips, cereal, vanilla, and honey; balanced with some flinty sulfitic, isoamyl acetate, and herbal grassy hop aroma.

Flavor: Light initial sweetness followed by a subtle hop bitterness; neither overpower.

Mouthfeel: Light body.

Body: Effervescent, with a clean fast finish.
