Beer God’s Notes

Pumpkin Hunter was a really enjoyable pumpkin ale.  A lot of beer people really hate on pumpkin beers, but I am not one of them. I enjoy all different styles of them.  I’ve had a couple this year that were totally outside of what I was used to.

This is one of those pumpkin beers that you are expecting when you have a not-so-good one.  The flavors that were in this screamed of fall, lots of pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice (all the different spices in that). This tasted really good as the days started to get colder and when the darkness rolls in around 5pm.

The artwork on this is really sweet too.  A nice touch to a really enjoyable pumpkin beer.

Description

pumpkinhunter_6packandbottle_297

Named for the huntsman who roams the forests of Nelson County, Pumpkin Hunter brings Devils Backbone’s typical balance to a pumpkin ale. Brewmaster Jason Oliver designed the flavors to layer like liquid pumpkin pie. The malts impart a graham cracker pie crust character around a rich, subtly sweet pumpkin and spice body. It’s the ultimate comfort beer! Fall, Amber, Spice.

Our Trail Blazers stray from the beaten path into a world of robust and daring beers featuring bigger, bolder flavors for fueling your spirit of adventure.
