Upstate Brewing Company – X.P.A.

Brewery: Upstate Brewing
Beer Style: Extra Pale Ale
ABV: 4.6%
IBUs: 41

COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION:
Session Pale Ale, dry hopped and unfiltered. A refreshing beer bursting with grassy aromas and flavors of peach and nectarine – this extra pale ale is less malty than a traditional pale ale to allow the hops to take center stage.

APPEARANCE:
Pours a pale orange (pale ale, get it?) and has a nice head. The resins are nice too, they seem to hang to the sides of the glass.
AROMA:
Hops, hits of tangerine/citrus.
TASTE:
Another beer from Upstate that drinks more bitter than it’s IBU. This one only comes in at 44, but has a nice hop that stays on your tongue.
OVERALL:
Another great offering from Upstate Brewing, a “session” pale ale at 4.6% that drinks stronger than that — doesn’t feel light at all, but is still crushable.
RATING:
4.5 out of 5
