Brewery: Left Hand Brewing Co., Longmont, CO
Beer Style:  Imperial Coffee Milk Stout
ABV:  8.9%

Beer God's Notes

A good amount of coffee, but not a kick in the face amount either.  Lots of roastiness coming from both the coffee and the roasted malts.  Really enjoyable and drinkable.  The milk stout part of this made this beer even easier to drink.  If you haven’t had Left Hand’s regular milk stout, out god forbid their Nitro Milk Stout — do yourself a favor and go try those before you have Bittersweet.

Description

This big stout gets aggressive with a boost from Allegro Coffee’s exotic mocha java blend.

The coffee’s dark cherry flavors and spicy undertones weave into the rich milky sweet stout like a chocolate-covered espresso bean melting on your tongue. Bitter then sweet. Sweet then bitter. It’s bittersweet.
